Pros

I can sincerely say that I have found a job I LOVE. I get out of bed, and I'm literally thrilled that I get to go to work at Cotopaxi. It almost annoys people how much I love my job (probably because they thought they loved their job, but then the see how much I love Cotopaxi and it dwarfs all!!) The culture is amazing, and every day is different (which is saying something, because I work customer service!) I don't know how I got so lucky as to land a job here, but I'm counting my lucky stars (and llamas) because it's the best place for someone who loves the outdoors, humanitarian work, and data-driven innovation. I mean, we went backpacking for 4 days with llamas... for work. Who does that? Cotopaxi does that.

Cons

It's a start-up; many hats to be worn, hours to be worked. But the start-up life is AWESOME!

Pros

Cotopaxi is not a traditional 9-5, and I love every bit of it. I've never worked in a start-up before, so I didn't know how rewarding this job would be when I started working there. It's so awesome to see your measurable impact on a young company and it makes you want to work harder. Cotopaxi is a giant family. I was welcomed in immediately. We work hard and we play hard. It's so nice to be close to the mountains and be able to hike to a scenic lake when you need to get up from the desk. We have a 10% in the wild time policy where you're encouraged to spend some time adventuring. Company sponsored outings such as camping in the Uintas, cabin overnighters, cross country skiing, etc. The management feels much more like colleagues than "bosses". Everyone works together for a common goal.

Cons

Occasionally have to work a weekend or longer hours due to being a start-up, but it's always recognized and appreciated.

Pros

I've worked at start ups and big established companies as an intern. This work environment has been my favorite. Everyone is tied to the vision and mission of the brand. And everyone uses the products. Everyone is in the same space, which allows for a lot of collaboration.

Cons

It's a startup, and there are things that go with that. But it's the best startup I've worked at.
