Pros

Nice shop layout and in-store events. Great advertising window displays and product personalisation. Career progression.

Cons

A lot of pressure is placed on small teams of shops that are not flagship stores and cannot be run the same way. I was a key holder and I decided to go part-time because, having worked with the marketing team of the company inspired me to go back to uni. Well they (area manager, store manager, etc) we’re not happy at all that I wanted to go part time and pursue a different career path or a University course. I was shocked on the negative comments that were made straight to my face like “let’s see how long you last at University” or “you will need a lot of money to study”. Once I made my mind up I could tell I was being treated differently as if I wasn’t part of the team anymore or worse of the company. I decided to leave as I felt completely ignored and undervalued after all the over time hrs of work I put in. Additionally the area manager on my last day didn’t even say goodbye or anything and it was only me and her in the store she just walked out of the shop, further convincing me that I made the right choice. Other cons are also incredibly high turnover of team members and a company culture where until you do exactly what you are told they are positive and supportive but as soon as you divert slightly from their way of working you are pushed aside. The only thing I thank Coach of is that it made me understand that retail wasn’t a place for me anymore and that going back at Uni was the right thing. I had a mental and physical tool on me working there as the volume of work was to much for a store and a team of that size. No real benefits a part from the staff discount.

Pros

Great discount on all brands under Tapestry

Cons

Little run to move up. Coach doesn’t care about it’s employees. Managers are passive aggressive and great hostile and toxic work environment

Pros

Coach has lots of tools to help you learn about the company, the product, different sales techniques, etc. They really care about their employees, and treat you like real people! They have great health and financial benefits. Sales incentives that allow you to win bags (also an amazing employee discount)

Cons

Not many that I can think of. You do have to meet sales goals pretty regularly, follow up with customers a lot which can feel pushy but not nearly as bad as other companies that I have worked for.
