Pros

There are many great leaders in the organization. The pay and bonus structure is fair. They are supportive from a payroll perspective.

Cons

If you have HR issues don't worry about calling the HR hotline. They listen to your concern and tell you that there is a zero retaliation policy. Well, I know first hand that this is NOT the case. After calling on the DM about not showing up for work, violating dress code issues, sharing private information with other employees, nothing was done. The DM became very hateful and disrespectful towards me and my management team. I even sent a letter to Senior Management and HR before I left, again asking them to resolve the issue and support their zero retaliation policy. Again, nothing was done. I went as far as giving very specific examples of when, where and who to contact to confirm the incidents. So, if you want to work for a company where HR issues are "brushed under the carpet" and policies are not adhered to, then Coach is your Company. I was with the Company for 5.5 years and they chose to listen to an habitual liar over a tenure trusted employee. Very sad.

Pros

Employee discount (50% discount on handbags and small leather goods, 40% on everything else).

Cons

It is a productivity based company (Which they did not tell me when offered a full-time position) so whatever position you have, except for management, if you do not meet your numbers your hours will be cut from a maximum of 35 per week to about 7-13 hours a week. Managers see employees as numbers, they do not see them as real people. All coach cares about is numbers, numbers and numbers, nothing else. Very stressful environment to work, managers will be breathing on your neck if your sales are down! You also get a write up for using your sick hours, even if you provide legal documentation that shows you were sick.

Not what I hoped for.

Pros

Loved the product and the employee discount, it was exciting seeing the new product and doing floorsets for it. Helping customers find the perfect bag was fun!

Cons

This job was one I was very excited for. Very soon after I started (maybe a few weeks?), I was berated for not living up to expectations because of something I didn’t even know how to do yet. The entire time I was treated like a child (I was the youngest out of the SM and other ASM) and then when I defended myself and stood up for my own judgement, I was accused of being combative. You can’t have a healthy conversation because other managers were always right. I almost felt like I was being pushed to my breaking point on purpose in order for me to quit. When I finally did it was a relief. I was being paid decently but my mental health was absolutely destroyed working there. Not worth it anymore. Specific employees didn’t listen to anyone except the SM, and when communicating this to the SM, nothing was done about it because favoritism is HIGH. A lot of great employees left because of negative things being said and done behind the scenes.
