Pros

Ability to work from home, good vacation allowance. Good for junior recruiters wanting to get their feet wet and learn a new industry.

Cons

Perhaps other accounts are better managed, resulting in the positive reviews coming out on this site, but overall environment on this account has been one of frustration, stress and burnout, resulting in the extremely high turnover (Bristol-Myers Squibb account) - Leadership tends to over-promise results to the client, resulting in unrealistic fill goals set for recruiters. Feels very much like an agency environment, which is the opposite of the 'we become you' motto promised to both the Cielo team and client. - Homegrown contact management system is ineffective and time consuming which is directly linked to recruiters performance review, while client feedback is disregarded. If you are not entering resumes into this system on a regular basis, you will be downright harassed. - Constant turnover at the team lead level. Team leads not properly vetted or trained to perform in their roles. - In line with the last point, unprofessional management with supervisors sharing inappropriate information regarding other employees with teammates. - Compensation for recruiters is far under market (at least for life sciences industry)

Pros

Good flexible working practice Great talent

Cons

Little or no understanding or appreciation of cultural nuances Chaotic management style All the decisions are made behind closed doors Lack of collaboration, openness and transparency Lack of clarity and direction When we were Ochre House, there was an an amazing culture that encouraged creativity, autonomy and encouraged people to flourish. Since we became Cielo, its a stifling, controlling and mico managed culture! Values are just a mash up of words - they don't mean anything anymore

Pros

The “unlimited” PTO is nice. I use quotations around unlimited because it’s really not. You’re encouraged by leadership not to take PTO and if you do it’s the end of the world to them and they’ll let you know how pissed they are.

Cons

Leadership sucks and clients are nasty. Was constantly told if I did this that or the other thing I would be promoted, was never promoted was all a lie. After I put my resignation in I was pressured up until my last day to tell them where I was going with zero respect to me for wanting to keep it confidential. The clients they work with are nasty and you’ll be miserable. Leaders get emotional and just start yelling randomly. You know more than your leaders and they ask you for help and when you ask them for help they don’t know the answer. The amount of North American employees getting fired by Cielo and replaced by people in the Philippines is alarming. If you live in North America and work here you’re absolutely replaceable at Cielo.

Hi there, this is Tara Cassady, Chief Revenue Officer. It's disappointing to read that after over two years of being at Cielo, you have left feeling negatively about your time with us. We genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and this is very concerning to read. I want to assure you that our company policy encourages a healthy work-life balance, including the utilization of paid time off where everyone has time to refresh and recharge. If there were any misunderstandings or instances where this policy wasn't communicated effectively, I will absolutely look into this. As for your comments on leadership, I acknowledge each individual will be a different journey and have a different approach to management, however there is still improvement to be made here and we welcome constructive feedback from employees at all levels. While it's true that our company operates globally, we are committed to supporting our employees wherever they are located. Any decisions related to team distribution are made with careful consideration for business needs and employee wellbeing and with high levels of clients being present in these regions, we have adapted to fit these needs. If there are specific issues you'd like to discuss further, please reach out to me directly at Tara.Cassady@cielotalent.com. I wish you all the best in wherever your career takes you next.
