Pros

Meeting people from all over the world. If it wasn't for the guest, I wouldn't have stuck around as long.

Cons

Much responsibility for a minimum wage position. I currently work for Comfort Suites which has 80+ suites. I've been employed with them for over 3 years and the only reason why I made it to $10 hr is because I was promoted to a front desk manager. I fully dedicated myself to the company and raises are just a floating idea. If you have a family, don't waste your time. You will be overworked and underpaid.

The only pro is that I learned how a Hotel is ran.

Cons

No organization. Choice Hotels International only takes royalty fees and charges, they do not care about the way employees are mistreated because all the properties are independently owned.
