When I went in to interview for a teaching position there, I was asked a ton of inappropriate questions about my political beliefs. It seemed like the interviewer was running me through a litmus test to see if my politics aligned with his and the school's. While they are a private school, it still didn't seem right that these were the questions being asked. I am old enough to know to not bring my own political attitudes to work, especially into a classroom of middle schoolers. Not one single question was asked about my classroom management skills, my teaching philosophies, or anything appropriate to the position I was applying for. It left a bad taste in my mouth and immediately made me not want to work there. Also, the interviewer was late and I had to wait a half an hour.
