Pros

Well you get paid on time and Bi-weekly and it's above other retail companies. But this company is underdeveloped and their ideal of a retail pop store setting is a bad joke gone really bad. Walking around pop kiosk store for 8 hours a day can get really boring when you have no customers for hours. Plus your great manager Team doesn't do anything all day but stand around the cash wrap talking to each other or playing on the laptop all day.

Cons

The cons to this Job are many besides the fact your manager Team doesn't do anything but talk to each other & play on a laptop all day. They will send you to the storage room to take care of the shipments that come in on a weekly basis. So you will be lugging mattresses and pillows down flights of stairs to the stock room, while your management team does nothing but play on a laptop. As a Sleep Specialist / Sales Associate you get paid $16/ $17 a-hour depending on if you are Part-Time or Full-Time. For all the extra work they don't tell you, you will be stuck doing, this company should pay it's Associates $20 a-hour.

Pros

Relaxed enviroment, cool retail set up and free Original mattress after 6 months of being with the company.

Cons

This is a sales job with NO commision. They have a bonus program which allows you to receive a bonus but only if you meet the quarterly goals which are set so high it is impossible to reach. Pay is minimum wage. Managers are micro managers, they monitor every email and step you make in the store. I was a supervisor and was doing store manager weekly recaps, 1 on 1's with team members which was also store manager work. They had me running the Casper Chicago store on my own with no other managment. They said they could not promote me and they could not hire anyone else to help support me. I was extreamly stressed from the work load and nobody cared. They are very slick and sneaky. Casper would give regular workers a key and call them sleep specialist with a key with no addional pay. I was constantly talked down to by the marketing manager. They had no consideration of my work life balance. They made me work 6am-730pm without asking if it was ok. I was unable to switch with anyone if I needed to or call off if there was an emergency. Upper managment made false promises about promotions in the "near future" but I been with the company for almost 4 years and nothing. All managment was scared to speak up and if you did they retaliated by adding extra duties making the work load impossible. They would also make "sales contest" and not follow up with the prizes. Overall, the company set impossoble sales goals and had no consideration for their workers. Everyone I worked with over the years all were not happy and everyone knew how unfair their bonus program was. Everyone I worked with had quit or got fired from not reaching sales goals. All my hardwork and dedication went unnoticed and I deeply regret putting my all into a company that did not care about me and what I did. I made well over 2 million for the company and I got nothing but minium wage pay.

Pros

Great health benefits and salary.

Cons

Leadership is very short-sighted and experience is sorely lacking in critical areas of the business, while outside hires and internal promotions are haphazardly doled out to those who are skilled at playing politics. Morale and culture has experienced a steep decline during the last 1-2 years at Casper as a result. Multiple rounds of layoffs and a consistent stream of departures result increasing workloads for those who hang on to this sinking ship.
