Pros

You will not be surrounded by the best and the brightest. You will be surrounded by the dregs of corporate rejects, mostly ex-GE, RTX, Stanley B&D, NCR, and Honeywell. They pay above market to trap and control employees because the culture is just so bad... This place is good for late Gen X and boomers who have a high pain tolerance. If you actually want to make a difference at your job, please choose another company. Carrier can't get out of its own way.

Cons

Cruel and unfriendly environment. Constant leadership churn & obsession with executives. Constant reassignments. Most employees will not end up doing the job they interviewed for. Once you are in the door, you will most likely be reassigned again and again. They do not think twice about pushing people out & making your life so miserable that you quit. Collaboration and "co creating" and "performing while transforming" are simply gaslighting terms they use - there is no substance behind this. Carrier is a dark place to work - you'll be used, abused and then termed. You'll also be expected to "kiss the ring" every step of the way.

Pros

While my time at this company allowed me to excel in my role within the Global Marketing and Communications department, I also experienced significant challenges. The demanding environment could impact one's physical and mental well-being. Despite these difficulties, working here provided critical lessons on the dos and don’ts in marketing and underscored the importance of mental health in a high-pressure work environment.

Cons

The company culture may feel limiting, especially to those experienced in their fields. You might find the work environment rigid, where eloquence in communication is prized over diverse professional backgrounds and skill sets. The company's internal politics could be overwhelming, and there seems to be a disconnect between the company’s public commitments to inclusivity and diversity and the reality within. Those interested in roles that report to the Global MarCom Team should inquire about employee engagement and turnover rates to gain a clearer picture of the departmental dynamics.
