Pros

You will not be surrounded by the best and the brightest. You will be surrounded by the dregs of corporate rejects, mostly ex-GE, RTX, Stanley B&D, NCR, and Honeywell. They pay above market to trap and control employees because the culture is just so bad... This place is good for late Gen X and boomers who have a high pain tolerance. If you actually want to make a difference at your job, please choose another company. Carrier can't get out of its own way.

Cons

Cruel and unfriendly environment. Constant leadership churn & obsession with executives. Constant reassignments. Most employees will not end up doing the job they interviewed for. Once you are in the door, you will most likely be reassigned again and again. They do not think twice about pushing people out & making your life so miserable that you quit. Collaboration and "co creating" and "performing while transforming" are simply gaslighting terms they use - there is no substance behind this. Carrier is a dark place to work - you'll be used, abused and then termed. You'll also be expected to "kiss the ring" every step of the way.

Pros

The people, the salary, Christmas vacation

Cons

Benefits are terrible, toxic leadership is prolific, chances for advancement are limited, micromanagement is normal, evolution and change are nonexistent, commitment to diversity and inclusion are superficial at best, the CEO draw a compensation of tens of millions of dollars per year while laying people off, the CHRO is one of the most toxic people leaders I have ever come across.
