      Pros

      I was always satisfied with my peers and management teams. Everyone showed an absolute caring for those around them, and it was evident in the close relationships formed throughout a career there.

      Cons

      Over the past several years, Carestream Dental has experienced several acquisitions and re-branding causing significant restructuring within the company including two fairly extensive reductions in force.

      Pros

      Challenging work on medical products. Opportunity to interface with multinational partners, customers and work with some very talented coworkers. Constant job openings due to the 10% reductions and restructuring. Average benefits, good location.

      Cons

      Management is following the GE model of Topgrading throughout Rochester. Continual ranking, walking out the bottom 10% frequently. No training, must wrap yourself around your boss to survive. Long hours slogging away. Creating a long slow ride down a draining pool of talented people.

      Interesting products and technology. Satisfaction from working on products that can help save lives, Talented workers. Average pay and benefits.

      Cons

      Rank and yank policies have created a hostile work environment. It has become like "Survivor" or "Lord of the Flies" where employees select co-workers for elimination and feed negative information to management in order to deflect attention from themselves. Management is morally challenged. Generally a house of horrors. Most employees despise management.
