Pros

The people! The people around me are exceptional. The effort from my fellow sales people to sell cars, They are extremely talented. My direct manager(s) keeps me moving in a positive direction. I love who i work for, the fairness and attitude helps me do my best. I love my hours (mostly). The wage is fair for the amount of cars that I sell and buy. We all could use a little more leads.

Cons

We need more help and support. We are finally staffed in sales, the delivery people, but we need more managers! My direct sales manager is great, probably the best I've ever worked for at a dealership, I feel like we're missing out on training and the quantity of cars that we're selling because were stretched so thin. The managers do help, but I think we're supposed to have 3 or 4 (I believe) but with only 2, I think we are missing out as a store, specifically on Saturdays. We need a main sales manager to guide everything. My new gm is great too. The Saturdays are long and exhausting. Please have hours until 5, it's usually empty in there by then. The dealership that I worked at previously was only open until 4. I think 6 is nuts. 5 is realistic, all 52 of them. Thanks for listning

Good news, though...help is on the way! As you likely already know, we were excited to announce an internal promotion just last week to fill the open sales manager position. These leadership positions are key, as you’ve indicated, so it does take time to ensure we are making the very best choice for our team. We hear you on the Saturday hours request. This is the main reason we rolled the closing time back from 8PM to 6PM a few years ago. We’ll keep looking at ways to provide convenient operating hours for our customers while keeping in mind the impact they have on our teams. Your desire for growth and more training is exactly what we want as well. Your reference of nepotism in a CarShop store is very surprising. While we are happy to invite team members to have their families at home join our family at work, there just aren’t very many examples of this in our company. In the instances that multiple family members do join our team, there are very clear guidelines and policies in place to avoid any type of conflict or unfavorable circumstance. We would like to understand more regarding your mention of unethical behavior. CarShop was founded on, believes in, and actively promotes the core value of being Fair and Equitable. We pair this with six other core values in our everyday lives and business practices. (Including Integrity and Caring for One Another.) Standard 40-hour weeks for most employees, standard benefits package.

Cons

The Fat Cats sitting in the ivory tower make all the decisions. If you're seeking a dealership with a manageable workload and want lower pay, this dealership might suit you. They take pride in this aspect. It makes me sick.
