Pros

Having worked at CarShop for 5+ years, I can honestly say the company is a great place to work. In my department I work with a very talented group of individuals who challenge the norms, and drive our industry-leading business forward. The people are really well looked after and it's a great place to work.

Cons

The industry itself can be quite slow-moving compared to other industries, but at CarShop that's not really a bad thing, as we're doing everything we can to change it.

Pros

Great culture and team - especially at the store level.

Cons

Sometimes very senior management didn't understand how to keep good people by finding the right position for them.

Pros

I've been working at CarSense in Chester Springs for over 2 years now and it's a great place to work. From the executive team to my direct manager, and my co-workers around me, it's a fantastic work environment. It's rare in a job, major corporation, where you can have a full conversation with someone from upper management where they care about you as a person, with life, goals, and to motivate you in and out of work. I feel like a true member to the team. CarSense takes care of their employees from a few different angles, 401k and profit sharing, fair pay scale, monthly luncheons, annual Christmas party. Provide a very flexible schedule with Sundays off, which is huge for anyone who has ever worked in a retail setting. I feel the teamwork, values, and morale at CarSense cannot be touched by anyone else. Bottom line is I love working here and I feel like I get rewarded every day when I impact customers and people around me. I am grateful to be able to do what I do day in and day out.

Cons

The only things that I'm unhappy with are extremely minor. Since the size of our company, I feel like we should be able to voice our opinions about specific things to help us grow. The local advertising, uniforms (especially the terrible pants!!), are things that could always be fixed. We need an update on better fitting and quality clothes. (Minor)

WOW!! Great post. Thank you very much. I feel the same way, its nice when our associates feel our culture and express how much it means to them. We have made great strides with our training programs in the last two years. We've developed CarSense University and a mentor program. But I do like the idea of the 360's we have them for our managers. Thanks again!
