Pros

Ability to work independently and make decisions for yourself.

Cons

Long work hours and they require a lot out of you. Your pay does not reflect the amount of work that you put in.

Pros

Outstanding training especially if you have no experience. Benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Management is just doing what corporate tells them. Everything is a system and a script. Good people just following the rules. Very little leeway for individualism.

Pros

CarMax really takes care of its associates. They are all about development and promoting from with-in. Great benefits!!! Everything you could ever want. From medical, dental, vision to anEAP program that includes grants for associates in need of financial help.

Cons

A lot is expected of you. You are expected to do your job and do it well. For some, little supervision is ideal, but some associates need to be watched more so there everyone is doing the same amount of work, as opposed to someone having to pick up the slack.
