Pros

You will meet some nice people, mostly ambassadors. Senior ambassadors all don't care about the job and are just there to collect paychecks.

Cons

Terrible work culture, "leadership" has no communication amongst themselves. Overworks their veteran ambassadors just as if they were new to the job. False commission hopes for new employees, all commission is favored to the scammer sellers that tell people Clear is required for airport security and hold the fingers down forcefully, dont even tell passengers to expect a $189 charge on their card they put for free trial. Everything in every other review seems to happen at every station - favoritism, inter-office romance, and toxicity most importantly. Please, only take this employment if its absolutely necessary. This workplace shouldn't be as stressful, but its the poor leaders that place unneeded stress on the ambassadors, they give attitudes when asking to go on break or to the bathroom. They then expect you to be happy smiling ear to ear when welcoming people who complain that Clear is the longest line at the airport. I have never seen any senior management welcome the passengers on the line or even make small talk with them, very leadership like.

Pros

- exposure to biometric security - get to work with some brilliant minds - high security and care for member privacy/data

Cons

- CEO feigns a culture of accountability. Those in her favor escape accountability while others take the flak for failures in product and engineering. - High turnover rate in senior leadership team due to toxicity of CEO and President. Senior leaders talk to their employees about how bad it is behind closed doors. - HR is invisible and fairly non-existent. HR is mostly run by a former Tech PM. - Field workers (ambassadors) treated like cattle - "Indefatigable" is the key word at CLEAR, which completely destroys any semblance of work/life balance - Products are rolled out before they're even close to ready (speed over quality) - Laughable technology in the Pods/kiosks - Concerns re racism abound within closed circles afraid of retribution for raising

Pros

- Free medical, dental and other benefits (at my specific airport) - Overtime available nearly everyday - Uncapped commission opportunities - Advancement opportunities (albeit linked to frequent turnover)

Cons

- Toxic leadership caused more than 15 employees to leave abruptly - Daily “briefing” meeting include daily threats of “write ups” and terminations “regardless of how short-staffed we are.” - Operations managers are on different pages with priorities. One manager threatens to fire employees for using their cell phone; another manager makes FaceTime calls with his wife while verifying a member. - I’ve been working there for three weeks and still have never met the general manager. I learned her first name yesterday because someone casually mentioned her name.
