Pros

Most people are easy to get along with, in spite of the pressure to do more with less. I liked the twelve hour rotational shifts better than the eight hours that generally turned into tens @ 6 & 7 days per week. Pay was pretty competitive for the specified work positions. Paid birthdays!! (eight hours, only, regardless of shift hours)

Cons

Rule updates tend to be knee-jerk reactions to anything management has an issue with handling. Often times, people are expected to do jobs above their pay scale and, without fail, it goes unrecognized at times of promotional bids. Middle management does nothing to protect their subordinates & everything to pass the buck. Some even create a hostile work environment. Training, in all positions, consists of yelling at people and/or telling everyone what an idiot you are.

Pros

location- easy commute. Nice facilities. Free parking. Nice co-workers. initially sounded great, lots of encouragement from mid level and upper management in the beginning.

Cons

Unkept promises re: vacations/ pay. Terrible point system- paying consequences for planned time off/ appointments. Too many job titles- not enough workers. Workers paying the price for conflicts between mid-level and upper management. VERY reactionary environment- NOT proactive or preventative- doubling the workload unnecessarily. Uncontrolled chaos. Unrealistic expectations for the amount of days in a row the workers work. Today makes 21 days in a row for me. Not paid market or region value for job description. Lack of training- all in my department are doing at least 3 jobs that we've not been trained properly to do.
