They claim to be a people oriented organization, unfortunately they are just as greedy as the next company.

Working in a plant and getting to know the people. Never a dull moment. Will put money into the business where it seems there will be payback.

Cons

They preach one philosophy but live by another. Slowly they take away the little things that made them unique and a good company to work for.

Pros

Healthcare benefits and 401K program are very good.

Cons

A lot of in fighting and posturing among management. Management does not take responsibility for the poor decisions they make, always blame people below them. Not a good place to work. Constantly laying good people off to meet financial objectives. Many weak people in key positions and in management roles. My recommendation, if you are out of work a need a job and have an opportunity to work for Berry, then take the job. If you are currently working, stay where you are!
