Pros

Compensation & salary, benefits slightly above local market. In the past, was clear the leader for business communications, know after changes with leadership adn gaps with product portfolio, is loosing market share for companies as Cisco. It's still a good name in local market, important to have as reference for future employment. There were also wht opportunity to start an international career, but it's also difficult because leaders are not willing to lose their people promoting them or supporting their transition to other organizations.

Cons

No clear rules to have benefits, as financial support for post graduation investment, no clear communication, lack of long term strategy, conflicts between organizations with different objectives drives for internal disputes, problems dealing with customer request and lack fo ability to compete in a competitive way.

Pros

If you need a break in your career and wish to coast for a while, this is a good place to do that ... likely if you have family / external responsibilities. It is TOO EAST to fly under-the-radar at this company and expectations are quite low. Quality-of-life experience outside the office is generally high.

Cons

VERY low output expectations (although quality expectations are high). Skills likely to get rusty as technologies in use are often outdated and not leading-edge.

Pros

Avaya is a quality driven company that continues to hire personnel with good records and communication skills. It provides the opportunity to work from home and use the tools that we offer our customers to excel in their business markets.

Cons

People continue to be laid-off every quarter because Avaya is moving to off-shore as many jobs that are not customer facing. Due to the economy and the reformulating of the company Avaya's allegience to good employees is missing. As internal employees are being let go, HR has no obligation to return calls or reply to inquires about job posting. This gives the idea that they do not care for their employees.
