      "Great company with quality products"

      Pros

      They pay very well. Benefits are also good though they have stopped matching employee contribution to the 401(k) plan as of March this year.

      Cons

      Organizational changes happens every 2-3 months. Loads of admin work. Offshoring support services has led to decreased service quality.

      Avaya - Little Opportunity for Employees

      Pros

      Great for telecommuting (which is what we sell as a company), very little micro-management, and the pay is very comparable.

      Cons

      Very little upside to working at Avaya. Avaya is in a cost cutting mode, forecasts have decreased dramatically, and upper management does not seem to understand how to tackle the bad economy. Right now all actions are about "cutting the fat." While I agree that companies must react, it is dissapointing to see that they are cutting back so drastically.

      Pros

      Great mental stimulation! I rarely go a day without learning something new. There are challenges waiting for me everywhere. There are also some amazing people within Avaya that are always willing to help. It is almost like having a second family outside of your house.

      Cons

      The global economy is causing some insecurity among domestic jobs. The recent recession is also driving the company to try to do more with less people, so the workloads are more taxing now than they have been in the past.
