      Pros

      Great mental stimulation! I rarely go a day without learning something new. There are challenges waiting for me everywhere. There are also some amazing people within Avaya that are always willing to help. It is almost like having a second family outside of your house.

      Cons

      The global economy is causing some insecurity among domestic jobs. The recent recession is also driving the company to try to do more with less people, so the workloads are more taxing now than they have been in the past.

      Pros

      cutting edge technology, far ahead of competition and they keep coming up with some of the best stuff for contact centres

      Cons

      very US centric , what works in the US will not work in APAC. too many irritating process and complicated internal structures . Already miss Lou's simplify philosophy

      Avaya... great company with regards to products and services, but a lousy employer, and it keeps getting worse.

      Pros

      Exciting technology company. Pay is probably better than average if you have time in the position.

      Cons

      Constant change! You can't get used to anything working for Avaya, because it'll change tomorrow. Avaya continues to reduce benefits. So far, the pension plan has been frozen, and company contributions to individual's 401k plans have been terminated. Very little opportunity for internal advancement. They continue to lay off employees, particularly in the US, leaving the rest of us to do their work. I'd have to work 24 hours a day to stay caught up, and Avaya would be happy allowing their employees to do that.
