Pros

Pay, benefits, and some good people stil here.

Cons

past 5 years, management has gone down hill fast. seems to lack direction, and one group within Company on a different page than another. there seems to be no strong leadership. Used to have the best training , incentives, work environent , now in the worse work environment of my 34 years of working ! will be glad to leave this misery.

Pros

A good Brand Name to work for.

Cons

Extreme Politics. You need to butter your manager every now and then to get recognized / promotion. Management team is not pro-active and new ideas are always refused. Leadership team run away with credit of their juniors to get better promotion for themselves. Leadership travels to US and UK for meeting and t he technical team is asked to do web meeting. No rationale thinking.. all policies are to support Sr. Management team. All Awards are distributed and rotated among chosen 10-15 people every time. I think they should fire all other employees, because only these 10 people can do all the wonders.

Extreme Short Term Thinking

Pros

Good products and enterprise telecom vision. Some highly skilled folks supporting the solutions. Great hiring process. Good initial integration of Nortel.

Cons

No management support for work/personal life whatsoever. They say they do believe in it but they pile so much work on you that personal time becomes relegated to Sundays only if that. No support for training even though its badly needed due to the fast evolution of products. Too many departmental silos, making it hard to stay focused on the customers. Too many management changes, hard to execute vision and strategy. Churn is also frustrating customers as well. Culture is short term thinking with no time to plan the strategic account plans. They want to grow sales via business partners but most are not ready to sale (and much less execute) the UC, CC and Aura portfolio. Almost no marketing makes it hard to sell. Solutions are too complicated to place tech support offshore to resources with English as the second language.
