Avaya Governement is the government branch of the company - saff when your on a contract but not safe when the contract runs out

Cons

Just took over Nortel - privately owned very focused on the bottom line slashed benefits and salaries but not as much as a little company ... yet. No longer a people company, your gone as soon as the accountants say you are, no flexibility.

Nice Place to Work - but short sighted... trying to do it all

Pros

Work/life is good, pay is good, can be left alone to get the job done. If you find an opportunity and if you find someone to support long enough to see it through you can be successful.

Cons

It's up to you to be seen in order to move through organization. They are trying to do too many things and so many of them are done half-way. Management by committee slow the process. Speed to market does not happen. No depth in offers/features. It's up to you to enrich your career

Avaya has many very talented people. They have great products.

Cons

They are owned by a bunch of bean counters. When the going gets rough, they roll heads out the door to make the balance sheet look good. They say their focus is on the customer, but its really on the balance sheet.
