Pros

Arrow is a fantastic place to gain exposure to some great client companies. Anyone who is doing anything with embedded electronics will typically have some amount of business with Arrow. Likewise, you'll get broad (albeit shallow) exposure to supplier technologies.

Cons

The cyclical nature of the world semi-conductor market; geographic shift in point of sale of electronics to Asia Pac; lackluster in-house talent. For senior managers, Arrow can be a decent place to work. Clearly, however, there are two segments of workers at arrow. Morale is typically low, as Arrow can't rally around it's own innovation or technologies. Arrow simply sells the innovation of others.

Pros

laid back atmosphere, the people, time off, sabbatical every 7 years, new ERP suposedly coming to help with customer management.

Cons

red tape, management lack of focus, didn't used to be too corporate but has become so increasingly over the years, the current systems are old and outdated.

Pros

From what I understand, most of Arrow is fairly good to work for. It's the Solon, OH facility that has all the problems.

Cons

No potential for career advancement. 25% to 60% mandatory overtime. Employees are forced to choose between family or work. No recognition for good work or for going above and beyond the job description. Morale is very very low. Management is unqualified for their positions and have less education than the people they are in charge of. Management has no people or communication skills. Some managers are functionally illiterate. Only those who fail in their current positions ever get promoted while those who have achieved within their positions are held down. The cost of health insurance is way too high for the employees.
