Pros

Decent amount of in-house promotion, if you can stand the job long enough Better pay than most telecommunication jobs, but it's still TELECOMMUNICATIONS! Bonuses for performance

Cons

Too many trashy people work there Management does not know how to be professional, i.e. keeping personal life separate from business, unfair treatment depending on whether or not they like you, urine poor training experience Bonuses were almost impossible to attain, since corporate standards were so rigid. It got to where customer service did not even matter; if you forgot one word on the script you lost bonus option, even if the word had nothing to do with telecommunication legal protocol. AT&T stringent script adherence screwed a lot of good workers out of bonuses, as well as leading to their termination.

Pros

For the most part, talking with the customers was very rewarding. Ninety percent of the time the conversation ended with everyone happy. They were willing to work with you as far as availability.

Cons

"Customer Rules!" were preached with the understanding that there is always a loophole. We were not "make it seamless" for them. At the same time told to keep them distracted so they wouldn't notice the call was being ended without transferring them. However, we had to offer to transfer the call when necessary. If our transfer rates were too high, then our scorecards were bad. Too many bad scorecards and we could lose our jobs. So many double standards and elevated stress levels that could be avoided.

Pros

The only pro is the 45 min lunch. There are not 20 words to say in the pro column but that this is the worse company I have ever worked for.

Cons

Low pay, poor benefits, have to buy your own supplies. Only does what benefits the company. Some people have been there ten yrs and were switched to a diff contract and were dropped down by $4hr per hr.There basic attitude is if u don't like it can leave. Because they do call center work for diff companies you have just as much security here as if u were working for a temp agency.
