Beware of HR

Pros

Some of the people you work with are decent humans, and they have some good benefits, like discounts on retailers.

Cons

If you ever do anything which management considers wrong, like getting sick or disagreeing with someone in HR, they will bully you and try to crush your spirit until either you end everything or you quit, they will gaslight and bully you until you leave. They will say that HR make the rules, and they can choose what policy applies and what they can adapt to their devices. After speaking with a lawyer you discover that they have placed protection inside the BPA which prevents you from getting help from outside of the company, thereby isolating you and removing your right to defend yourself, do not agree with the BPA and state that line needs to be removed. They will use every trick they can to make sure you feel worthless and they are right, then they will make up garbage until you are so worn down they can just terminate you without a fight. Be very careful working here, they are run by narcissists and people who enjoy the suffering of others.

Pros

The offer remote work - until they decide "no longer". You'll get your well-below-cost-of-living wages paid on time. Truly Minnesota nice (read: passive aggressive).

Cons

Everything. Literally everything. Their pay is well below average. I got a 10% raise, and it's still below the cost of living. We are given empty promises when it comes to raises, and increased benefits - all while boasting record profits. We are given this promise of work/life balance, just so long as your life is also your work. Heavy sexual harassment goes unchecked. There's a level of middle management that does nothing to promote new ideas - they rest on their laurels and stifle innovation or forward thinking. They sit back and make us do everything, while they get paid way more. My department is on fire, and Allianz's fire department has baby squirt guns. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

Work from home 3 days/week.

Cons

This review is specific to the Technology division - No onboarding/training - literally none. - Horrible communication. - Work for the sake of doing work. Meetings for the sake of meetings. - Incredibly disorganized. - Claim to follow process, yet don’t follow good processes. - Privately, many feel this way, but are too scared to say it. - Project management is a complete joke - Everyone is overworked and burnt out - When you ask questions, you’re met with rudeness, condescension, and defensiveness - Many don’t like being questioned, because it exposes problems/problem areas - No way to improve things. No way to effect change. - If you’re not a “yes man” they won’t like you. Seriously, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.
