Great Pay and good benefits and I was able to stay working from home

Cons

Was told I would be doing one thing when I was offered the job and brought on and I never ended up doing that. Laid off after just over a year due to downturn in the financial industry. I was recruited over from another job, that is now no longer available.

Pros

Great people all trying to do the best job they possible can. Lots of smart, intelligent people who are often worn down by process, shoddy IT and lack of cohesion across the business. Management have good intentions.

Cons

Every man for themselves! Everything is self service. Need help - look it up. Need support on an issue - look online. If you can make it here you're a definite self starter, or you've been here a while, have carved out a niche and then can sit back and essentially do very little. Good intentions of management seem to whither when the money pot starts to shrink - and they cut people rather than look at other ways that business wastes money - like the unnecessary offices in London which mainly serve senior management.

It started well, I had the impression it was a good place to work with good progression opportunities. Good flexibility working remotely.

Cons

I learned that unfortunately the management it's not transparent to staff, they make you believe everything is going well to keep you going but in fact at the moment it's just a big risk working for AMS, hundreds of people let go and many others looking for other jobs. A lot of friend politics. Low salary and minimum benefits compared to other companies. Due to the workload most days you have to work extra time to meet your goals and overtime pay is not offered.
