No hope if not in the "clique". SMT live in a utopia and cannot see beyond the internal glass walls of the mothership.

Pros

Learned a lot but then I was just left to my own devices. Has some very talented people onsite on the ground who are very passionate.

Cons

No support - on or offsite. Company talks about value but what truly matters is net fee income. Encourage new ideas but falls on deaf ears. Lost out on a new client because senior management were not interested in hearing about it.

A great company being dragged to hell by poor management

Pros

Started out as a fun place to work, as long as you carry your weight, come in jeans, sneakers, put your mobile on the table and chat with your coworkers. Can go on leaves as long as you have leave credits and the client gives a go-signal.

Cons

Started demanding that employees "dress up a bit" and evaluating people's leadership potential based on how they dress up. Now putting your phone on the desk is forbidden, talking to other people will give the impression that you are a slacker while not talking will label you antisocial. Now you can be stressed and practically on your deathbed but won't be allowed on vacation because somebody somewhere up the management chain is looking at some numbers on a spreadsheet that in no way indicates how satisfied your client is with you or how stressed you are. Bottom line: management is all about numbers, ironic for a company that boasts that people are its best asset.
