Commission Only Sales

Business Outlook

Pros

Big Corporate company with strong product in the market for over 100 years.

Cons

No salary, commission pay only about $150 per sale up to 6, then more after. Hard to get 4 sales per week as everyone already has a alarm or doesn't want one. Real opportunity is new businesses moving in or being taken over. Need to have a good territory, meaning they have money and it's near a major city.

Horrible Company RUN

Pros

There are none. Use to be but as of now the company has shifted so horribly in the wrong direction there is nothing positive to say

Cons

Layoffs - in Canada they laid off over 180 people. Company is doing horrible. Constantly losing money. Pay is so horrible - not up to living standards unless you live in Alberta. Way too top heavy. Upper management is untouchable and let go of the blue collared employees. Culture - there is none. Ask anyone the culture is shot in the company. Any positive view is written by upper management.

Boundless Incompetence

Pros

I met some genuinely great recruiters during my time there.

Cons

If it was not for the people I met while working there I wouldn't have a single positive thing to say. My time at ADT was easily the single worst recruiting experience I have had in my career. The job was to hire full commission salespeople at an unsustainable pace with absolutely no process or high volume tools to recruit effectively. The sales recruitment leadership there is astoundingly incompetent, they do not know what to do with professional employees. They would claim they had no interest in building an agency style recruitment department while simultaneously making decisions that were hurling the department towards that structure. They wanted agency level workload with compensation that doesn't even come close to what they were asking for. Their complete lack of self-awareness made itself clear with each passing day. Between that and the sheer nepotism they operate with, I cannot recommend any recruiter spending a significant amount of time working for ADT.
