Pros

If you are in sales, you have the ability to set your own schedule. I have found a lot of good people at ADT, especially those that have been with the company for a long time.

Cons

They (Tyco) are now attempting to micro-manage the entire workforce, with disastrous effects on productivity. The layers of management, the rediculous amounts of unneccesary paperwork, and a fear of speaking out, are choking any ability to improve the company from within. ADT uses Sarbanes Oxley and Six Sigma, but to such an effect that it is detrimental to production and morale. The local office have a revolving door mentality for their sales reps, so the turnover is very high.

Pros

People are nice, good work environment, work at your own pace, no one is on your back. Big company where everyone is doing their own thing so no one is very concerned with what you are doing. As long as you do your job and what is expected of you, you will not be bothered. The people make it a great work environment where you can easily work at your own pace with little or no pressure from others.

Cons

Work can get a bit monotonous, tasks are very routine. There is not much variety in the daily office grind. It can get tedious doing the same thing day in and day out. Due to budget cuts, many employees did not get raises this year, although that is pretty common with the economy being the way it is right now.

Pros

Job Secuity and professional image. Very vlexible in regard to working times and hours. Locations of work also vary which help eliminate boredom. The office workers in the buildings were very nice and professional. I enjoyed walking clients to their cars and monitoring the camera equipment.

Cons

Bad hours of work, pay is okay. Sometimes had to stand out in bad weather.
