Pros

Headed in a better direction since the BV acquisition. The split from commercial business should simply some processes.

Cons

Very corporate, lots of moving parts within the business, very complex/tedious procedures. Antiquated software can be found in many departments. Company invests a lot in middle management to monitor subordinates. Departments within company are well segregated, and communication between them is often non-existent. Too many people do their job without regard to realizing the negative effects on other employees/departments, especially the techs, who always get screwed by mgmt's decisions. There's no real sense of collective purpose or community. Change occurs at a snail's pace due to the large number of jobs that are ingrained in processes created 10 years ago. Dress code is extremely relaxed at the office-- jeans and a t-shirt are commonplace for most employees.

Pros

Coming right out of college could easily make 60000 but working 9 to 8 Monday thru Saturday

Cons

Depending on where office is, you can easily have three company appointments that can add up to 200 plus round trip miles a day. Weekly mileage pay after taxes is 85.00. Have spent more than that easily in two days. Same old advice every day about how everyone above you worked their tails off and never had a customer that just couldn't afford a premium priced system and typically 45.00 plus per month. Despite having apptsut on you as late as 10 pm, all bonuses revolve around finding business that was not web generated or call ins. Weird from the largest player in the country, and difficult to schedule effectively. Pricing structure favors hugely potential clients that do not call the Corporate 800 number, but are found by door knocking, etc. if you call in to ADT, then pricing structure says you have to pay for example 5 times the install price vs someone not already in the system, and their systems check for not only names but addresses. Crazy in the long run.
