After dedicating 4 years of service I got a promotion to manager and transferred to help open a new call center. After the first week my manager asked me to cover 3rd shift until she found someone permanent for 3rd shift, and then she would move me back to 2nd shift. Not only did she not move me back to 2nd shift she tried to give away my original 2nd shift schedule to a new manager who had been with the company only a few months! She asked HR to decide and I was given my schedule back only because I had started at the new center earlier than the other manager. She never kept her promise after I did her a favor.
Then my manager approved my time off request for 3 days off and they called me at home to tell me I was a no call no show and they were ready to terminate me. I had to go and show them my signed approved time off that the manager had forgotten he approved. They offered me a lame apology and nothing happened to the incompetent shift manager who almost got me fired (and I had to train him). I've worked at a lot of corporate jobs and I think this is by far the worst!
I have several other similar issues but I'm sure you get the point.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND HASSLE AND FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO WORK! Better yet go into business for yourself so you don't have to deal with the 9-5 rat race. I did it and it's the best decision I've ever made for my career.
