The HR member who organised the interview was professional and transparent, ensuring smooth communication.
However, the technical interview experience and feedback process could have been improved. Feedback was delayed by more than a week and provided only after a follow-up, with a response indicating that other candidates were being progressed. A timely rejection email would have been appreciated.
Given the short duration of the interview, the feedback also seemed unprofessional and lacked insightful evaluation. The 30-minute interview, which started late, included a lengthy introduction by the interviewer that focused more on the test automation strategy centered around existing skill set within the organisation rather than on the broader goals of the QE Architect team or on exploring more scalable and robust automation test strategies suitable for a large-scale environment . Additionally, the time could have been better utilised assessing how the candidate’s skills might address gaps in the current QE landscape.
Also, the discussions seemed focused on validating a specific approach rather than allowing for a broader exchange of insights.
