I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wise (Londres, Inglaterra) in Apr 2021
Interview
Process was very good end-to-end, WISE offer a great candidate experience, recruiters understand the business exceptionally well. They were very responsive to my questions throughout the process. They have a great EVP

Question 1
HR have asked me about my experience and thats all
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wise in Dec 2021
Interview
Insincere interview with Wise
Wise sent me a home task right after my application. It was about preparing a suspicious activity report for 20 money transfers. I needed to mention the red flags by explaining the rationale behind that, and it should not be longer than a half-page.
I passed the home task, and they arranged an interview with one of the AML Team Leads. It took one hour, and Team Lead asked about my background and previous experience, and I explained my common responsibilities, which match the applied job position. TL also asked me some definitions which are used in the AML. You can find them in the interview questions part.
I only don't know one of the definitions, and finally, TL told me, ok, you have a great experience, and you are a very organized person and added that 'wish my team members should be like you' etc.. To sum up, I believe I had had a positive interview the day after I got my rejection. The only explanation is 'we have found candidates we feel are a better fit for the AML Reporting Specialist role right now.'
I request additional feedback from HR and the Team Lead that I interviewed with, but there is no response.
This is a bit insincere for me because if you think this candidate is not suitable for the role due to various reasons, you need to reflect on this.
When the Team Lead says
you have a very good experience
you are familiar with definitions in this field
you are a very organized person etc..
you frankly think that you are suitable for the position.
I want to say that please don't act fake in interviews!
Btw, this is not my first time in Wise that I had such an experience. Now I start to think that this is like a company policy and maybe HR or Management advise them to conduct interviews in this way.
