The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2009
Interview
Through a recruiter, met with team of 4 people. Very professional while decently casual. Asked questions and presented engineering problems to work through - complicated but not insanely so.
Outright stated that they were a Serious Work Environment, long hours were expected and all sorts of no-nonsense points. While this turned off my interest, the candor was most excellent.

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Silver Spring, MD) in Jun 2009
Interview
I applied online. I received an email to schedual a test date. You are able to schedual online. Once I confirmed my date, I was invited to take a test which consisted of Math, Reading, Spelling and personality. These are used to filter out unwanted candidates. The testing is very easy, compare it to a ged test or 10th grade education. I had a total of 3 interviews. The one on one , they asked about my expectations and what I could do for Verizon.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Verizon (Medford, MA) in Mar 2009
Interview
I applied online via e-mail. They called me back the same day. They interviewed me the next day and I started a three day training the next day. The interview was very easy as though I was already getting the job and I started working immedietly.
During the interview they asked about my past experience and my duties while working at my past employers. Honestly, they did not ask anything else that was worth remembering. If you interview for this company and you have the sales associate experience. You got it!!!!!
