I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon in Apr 2008
Interview
I was told I had a job through a letter first, but that they had no idea when they would be starting a training class. Then I got a phone call on a Tuesday to say I started the following Monday- so I had to give my previous position LESS than a week's notice, which I felt was inconsiderate on Verizon's part. The process itself wasn't that hard, but they definitely don't let you know much about the position, benefits, or requirements until you've started. It's very regimented and secretive.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The personality questions on the website were a little personal and very repetitive.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Walnut Creek, CA) in Feb 2007
Interview
I was very impressed. The people were proffessional and seemed happy. There seemed to be good chemestry between co-workers. The office was clean but a little dated. The interview process was organized and the interviewers came prepared. I first interviewed with the hiring manager over the phone. When I went for the face to face I was taken to a conference room where there were 2 other Engineers and the hiring manager. They asked technical questions, as well as questions about past accomplishments, current projects and asked to describe a project I failed at.
