I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Philadelphia, PA) in Sep 2015
Interview
first interviewed with a recruiter, recruiter told me that position had been filled internally at the beginning of conversation, but that she still wanted to speak with me for future bench.
got a call from the recruiter again that a new position had opened up and she wanted me to meet with the DM.
interviewed with the DM, which was fine, but she talked more about ulta and the store than finding out about me. she did ask some basic leadership questions.
2 weeks go by, and I did not hear anything, but had received another offer, so I emailed the recruiter and thanked her. she told me that the DM was still 2 weeks out from making a decision. I told her I no longer wanted to be considered for the position, she emailed and wanted to know where I was going, and that was pretty much it.

Interview
Group interview, me and three other girls. Asked basic retail questions, what would you do if... what have you done in the past... just went around the room. Interview was held in a back room. Interviewing manager kept getting interrupted during by other associates. Easy interview, and I thought I did well.

Interview
Was asked general interview questions, why i wanted to become an esthetician. Was then given an explanation of the training they offer through dermalogica. Was asked about availablity and transportation. Was then asked how i would get more clientele and how i would sell products. Was told that there was a minimum percentage i needed to keep, but thats the same for anywhere. Was then shown the area where i would be giving facials and such, but it wasnt a room it was just a corner in the back of the store. Then met with the general manager of the store and was scheduled to do a facial on her next week.
