The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Baytown, TX) in Oct 2011
Interview
I applied online from the Sears website. After finishing the application I was directed to take 2 tests. The test were scenarios you might come across in a retail store. Upon completing the tests I was able to schedule an interview time and date on the computer, which I really liked. The interview was with the HR manager. She asked questions like: describe a time when you had to overcome an obstacle, what is your greatest weakness, what are your strengths. A few scenario questions. I suggest to really do research and think about answers to these type of questions. I went in unprepared because it was my first interview in about 6 years. I previously worked for Sears so I was thinking the process would be easier. I learned to always research the company and think of times you have been challenged, overcame obstacles, reached goals etc. They will ask these types of questions. I was not offered a job (I believe) because my schedule was not flexible enough for retail. They require weekend/night availability.

Interview
The interview was quick and easy. I was asked some questions about how I would handle customers and how I managed stress. I got the job easily. I recognized my first problem with the company when they were hiring so many people at once. High turnover.

None of the questions were difficult. I don't want to say anyway.
