I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Round Rock, TX) in Dec 2013
Interview
It was easily done and I received the offer letter within 30 minutes of my interview. I was interviewed by two managers, one who was over the Laundry technical support calltakers and the other was over Parts department and Consumer Electronics. It was an easy process for someone who had been a technician for awhile.
I applied through a third party website and was contacted by a senior recruiter and asked to apply, again, on their corporate website. The recruiter also told me to be on the lookout for an assessment email.
Spent hours applying, again, and taking the detailed assessment just to hear absolutely nothing back - not even an automated "we have moved on" email. If this is how Sears treats its candidates, I can only imagine how they treat their employees.
After reading other reviews it sounds like this is Sears' common practice - I will not be applying for this organization again.

Please fill out the application on our corporate site and take the assessment.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Bengaluru) in Mar 2017
Interview
The interview was held on 4th March,2017 at Bangalore. The position offered was a support role. It was a walk-in drive scheduled for 4th and 5th and I had received message via TimesJobs site. First round was a online test with basic objective questions from Java,SQL,Unix,Web Services.
Once this round was done there were two telephonic rounds (via Skype). In the first Skype call they had asked questions based on projects we have worked along with core java basic questions.
After the first call, I was asked to leave intending the interview process was done for me. There was no reason mentioned by the HR for my rejection.
The interview process was very dead paced. I had attempted my online test at 11 AM and I was called for the second round not until 3:30 PM.
On the whole the interview experience, was a mixed feeling. The questions asked were very basic.
If you are confident and patient enough you must clear the rounds without much effort.
