The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sears in Jun 2011
Interview
Went in 15 minutes early and had to just wait until someone came out since no one was there to check in with. When the HR rep finally came we went to the break room for the 1:1 interview. The questions were really easy; what is the most difficult situation you have ever been in? What are two goals that you have set for yourself and how did you achieve them? My availiabilty, etc. If you can make up answers on the spot like i did, you'll be fine. Next he said that i would be expected to sell 10% of the credit cards, which i said would be fine even though i never did it before. He asked if i had experience with a cash register and i said no; that seemed like problem. (even though there should be training). He said everything seemed fine and he would set up a 2nd interview later. About an hour later i got a call setting an appointment for this saturday, so we'll see.

Interview
Applied online and received a phone call a few days later for a interview. Interview was pretty straightforword. Met with a manager and went over some basic questions like, how would you handle a difficult situation, how have you worked as part of a team before. A few days later got a call with a job offer. Had to do a drug test along with it.

Interview
Last week, I filled out an application online. It took about an hour, and I guess I said what they wanted, so it prompted me to set up an interview time and date. I set one up for today (5/11). Upon arriving to Sears, I was greeted by a super nice sales guy and he told me where HR was. Upon entering HR, the lady was super nice and asked me to have a seat while she got the lady who interviewed me. I waited about 5 minutes. The interview itself was soo smooth. She made me feel really comfortable and she was so friendly and nice. However, some of the questions were pretty difficult! She asked me things like, how do I feel about ordering stuff online? And, what 3 things would prevent you from ordering online? Then of course general interview questions like tell me about you, and why should we hire you, etc. After the interview, she walked me around the stor introducing me to other staff, who were all very friendly. We went back to HR and she told the first lady I spoke to that she was skipping the other manager interview and was going to go ahead and hire me. She offered me the job, I accepted, filled out tax forms, and was told to go do a drug test. Awesome interview, and I can't wait to start!
