I applied online. I interviewed at Sears (Rego Park, NY) in Apr 2016
Interview
A very long interview that took around 20 minutes because of all the questions being asked from what would you do to what about you. Definitely an interview that would be considered difficult by many people who wouldn't know how to come up with answers immediately right on the spot.

Interview
I had my interview a little over 2 weeks ago. The actual interview was fine, the guy asked a series of basic questions. I was told right after that they were offering me the job and to expect an email with background information and training. Couple days later I recieved an email congratulating me on accepting it, along with follow up questions on background information. After a week no one got back to me, so I emailed the recruiter and called him. Without hearing from him I called the sears location directly, no one answered so I left a message. The recruiter got back to me today, saying the location was not interested in moving forward with a second interview. Even though, I was given the impression I already had the job. I am irritated that they rescinded their offer and most likely would not have told me if I didn't follow up with a few calls. Not to mention that I passed on other job offers because I already accepted the position at sears.

Interview
Very quick, very easy
I was only asked if I had experience using credit cards and when I was able to start. I have now worked here for 3 years. Since I was hired they are so desperate for employees, they'll hire anyone. They do drug test some employees, but I believe it is random. I wasn't drug tested, I know many people that weren't but a few were. The interview is very easy but I wouldn't suggest working here.
