I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp in Oct 2023
Interview
Have interviewed with 15+ companies in the last 2 months and this was my worst interview experience by a stretch (unfortunately, because this company is special and growing very fast). Interviewed in 2nd round by a recently promoted sales manager with less than 1.5 years of sales experience total. Seemed careless and unenthusiastic to be on the call. Showed up 10 minutes late. Camera off ('wifi bad in the office'). Asked me basic questions, answers followed by long cold pauses, not conversational, no feedback. Briefly opened it up for questions, didn't have answers to 2 which I asked, and then cut me off from further questions to challenge my experience further. I'm certain this company will continue to do well but this process should be facilitated by more personable/tenured employees. Left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How will you exceed the quota? How will you differentiate? What is unique about you as a salesperson? What will you do differently during our ramp period?
They set up a time to connect and did not call me. We rescheduled, but once again I was not called. Shortly after, I received an email rejecting my application. I don't mind the rejection, because that is just part of the search process, but it is highly unprofessional to set up times to connect and then just ignore them and reply with an automated email.
If not interested, just note it beforehand instead of wasting people's time. It's a small thing - but it leaves a sour taste and obviously severs any future possibility of engagement or involvement with this company.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp (New York, NY) in Sep 2023
Interview
The first two rounds are simple 30-minute calls. The third round is a little bit more complex with a 30-45 min case study. Everyone was very easy to talk to, I had a great impression of the employees and they all seem to really enjoy working there so far. I am currently on the case study round.
