Brief phone call with questions regarding excel ability. Only 15 minute conversation. Basic questions regarding familiarity with marketing research. Very friendly recruiter. Connected several times through email. Over all a positive experience.

Question 1
How proficient are you with excel and powerpoint? Do you have experience with pivot tables?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nielsen (New York, NY) in Dec 2018
Interview
Did a screening interview with the recruiter, was invited to a phone interview with the HM, received a assessment project to do and 2 weeks later received a generic decline email leaving me to wonder if I had done anything wrong. However, I emailed the HM about what went wrong and they let me know that everything I did was done just fine, but someone else just happened to do a little better. They also provided me with advice in my next venture. This was valuable information and I appreciate that I was able to get such a lengthy and enlightening message back.

Question 1
What do you believe is the encompassing lesson in your education?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nielsen (Sídney) in Sep 2018
Interview
Hiring process terrible and unprofessional. HR didn’t even tell me the correct time for the initial testing process (she said 60 minutes, but in fact it was 90 minutes). Didn’t send me the correct address or level as well. Very unprofessional.
Initial testing was very easy (bunch of analytical and mathematics questions) but seem very outdated. This might work well in the past when we have to calculate things by hand or without computer, but now it appears to be irrelevant.
Interview was good. Questions were all relevant to the job and interviewers all came prepared.
