I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at New York Life in Mar 2016
Interview
First interview covers general information about interviewee, second and third cover specific job functions, and compensation. By the end of the first interview, I knew I would be offered the position. From there on, the process was more about educating me on the company, and my specific role. One test to see if you are a "true salesman" and a background check.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY) in Sep 2016
Interview
Interviewer briefly explained how you would have to go through a 4-process interview, wherein afterwards they would train you for 2-3 months to become a Financial Adviser. He then asked me if I had any questions before explaining that I would have to build my own clientele since the job is 100% commission.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New York Life (San Dimas, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Good nice introduction to the team. But it sounded like pitching you a job opportunity rather than a position. I'm not sure but there is no base salary or transition pay. So if your working I like to know if your getting paid for the day. Sounds like you mostly generate leads for the licensed agent. I have/ had a license so I can have my own sales.
