I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Marsh (Dublín, Dublín) in Sep 2018
Interview
The interview was made up of 3 stages, and it lasted over a month. First stage just a Zoom call to kind of go through my CV, second stage was HR questions by the Team Lead, and the third stage was supposed to be a technical interview but it ended up being an HR kind of interview. Very weird as I applied for a developer position but no technical questions were ever asked to me - they probably had already someone else in mind when they were interviewing me.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Marsh (New York, NY) in Aug 2018
Interview
Typical process of phone interview, followed by video interview (basically Skype), then 2 in-person interviews with various members of different teams at the NY office.
Style of interview is one at a time, with each person getting 30 minutes to ask questions. There was no design challenge, but there was a lot of thorough discussion of my thinking and approach toward UX, design, and design systems.
Marsh & McLennan was very honest about their history, the tasks at hand, the work environment and where they want to go. Lots of transparency, and no question I asked of them was dodged.
They were extremely professional throughout the entire process. The background check is very, very thorough. It's just as involved as a U.S. Government Secret Clearance type of check, so be sure you have good records of everywhere you've lived for past 7 years and the dates of your employment history.
Upon receipt of job offer, I requested to see the Hoboken office and working environment to which Marsh & McLennan set aside time, took me out to lunch, and showed me around. All of this gave me confidence that only very good people work there, and solidified my decision to accept the job offer.

Interview
While I was not an ideal fit for a role, the MMC Recruiter working on the search agreed to an initial telephone interview to discuss my experience and capabilities. Our discussion led to swift scheduling of two video interviews which were seamless, easy to connect to, and very engaging, as if we were meeting in person. In less than a week, I had two video interviews and a round of in-person meetings with the home office team in New York. Throughout the process, the Recruiter discussed feedback with me in between each interview, she helped set expectations, and she addressed all of my questions.
