I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at General Mills (Golden Valley, MN) in Aug 2019
Interview
Process was roughly 8 weeks: initial phone screen with a Finance Manager followed by personality testing and finally onsite interviews. Onsite interview included a quick tour and lunch with a peer in the corporate cafeteria. All interviews included standard behavioral questions. Everyone was very friendly and open to sharing more about General Mills and the open role. HR meets with you after the interviews to touch base and send you out with a goodie bag.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at General Mills (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2019
Interview
Mostly behavioral questions and only one qualitative case interview. Very conversational. I met the interviewer at an event prior to my interview. I couldn’t ask any “standard” questions at the end since I learned all the basic.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you use extensive analytic skill.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at General Mills (Golden Valley, MN) in Oct 2019
Interview
I applied for the position and heard back 2 weeks later. From there we coordinated a time when we could set up a phone interview. After successfully completing the phone interview I was contacted a few days later for an in person interview.
I was emailed an overview of what the interview process was going to look like, and then I took an online assessment/personality test. We then set a date for the in person interview. the whole interview process took around 2.5 hours. I spoke with 5 different employees from different parts of the company, and was even given a small tour of the campus in a small planned coffee break.
The questions where standard S.T.A.R. questions you would expect. I was very grateful of the email I got before the interview detailing what the process was going to look like. It helped me prepare so I wasn't caught off guard by anything, and could give my best responses.
Overall I had a very engaging time with the company and would say its one of the best interview experiences I've had.
