I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at David's Bridal (Torrance, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
Very simple, she asked about what I liked to do, what my expectations were, my home life, things I liked to do on my free time. We actually went off on a little tangent because I told her that I also had a second job working at a movie theatre and we talked about the current films that were out and our favorite actors. She made the interview very comfortable for me and I really enjoyed it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
She asked me to sell her the outfit I was wearing.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at David's Bridal in May 2015
Interview
Heard back from the company a couple days after applying. Group interview with other candidates. Interview was easy and the manager was very nice. It was an easy interview.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at David's Bridal (Aurora, CO) in Jan 2016
Interview
I posted a general receptionist resume on Indeed.com and was asked to apply for this job by a David's Bridal representative. I went to the website and applied, which includes a "quiz" that takes 20-30 minutes to complete. It is long and seems slightly repetitive but most questions are about customer service, scenarios, and common sense. You are not told your "score" but if you do well based on the company's standards, they will call you to set up an in person appointment. I was called within two days.
The interview itself was very easy - basic questions. I horribly flubbed the first question (see below) but did well on the others and was given a second interview. (They always do two.) If you are given a second interview BRING TWO FORMS OF I.D. (and have your SSN) so if you are hired you can fill out paperwork that day. I was offered a job as soon as I finished the second interview.
Dress business causal. David's Bridal dress code is black with some neutral colors (like champagne, white, grey, etc) if desired. I would suggest wearing neutral colors to the interview to fit in.
I always bring a notepad with me to take notes during the interview and I arrive with questions written down already. I also bring another copy of my resume but they didn't look at it.
Make sure to be FRIENDLY! That is so important when working at DB.
