I applied online. I interviewed at City Year (Milwaukee, WI)
Interview
A long, detailed phone conversation detailing experience in education, as well as personal education, whether public or private. A discussion of life experiences-- poverty and discrimination, gauging the applicant's ability to work in a community experiencing such hardships.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at City Year (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2021
Interview
30-minute phone call. The interviewer would mute self after questions were asked, which felt very transactional. They took the phone call from their car, and I did not feel excited about the position after the interview ended. With that being said, I had a great experience and the interview did not reflect my time at City Year.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at City Year (New York, NY) in Apr 2023
Interview
I was called at the interview time, and led through the different stages of the process very methodically. The structure of the interview was very clear to me throughout. I was asked several questions, given several potential scenarios, and was never rushed to give answers.
