I applied online. I interviewed at Air Canada (Vancouver, BC) in Nov 2016
Interview
It was personal and unpretentious. Friendly and open but serious as well. They were interested in previous experiences that were in relatable situations but not necessarily the same industry. The most important things seemed to be safety and ease of dealing with people. Another important issue they discussed was the unique type of shift work that this job entails.

Have you ever dealt with a serious work related safety issue.
I got a phone call next day I applied. Not difficult questions were asked, interviewer was very nice. I passed this screening and was invited to attend an in person interview . I canceled a few days later because of low salary. Wish Air Canada pays more, so more multilingual applicants will be willing to work for them.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Air Canada (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2013
Interview
Recruiter never respected the next steps he/she gave. Recruiter was very blunt and borderline rude about requirements. Recruiter made it seem like Air Canada was doing people a favour by even considering them as potential candidates.
