Pros

The management and employees at my branch were all outstanding. We felt like one happy family, and going to work everyday was a joy. The manager really put emphasis on being available but not overbearing toward customers, which was a tactic that brought us a lot of brand loyalty in the area. The discount is great, as is the bonus gift card for making monthly goals. There is also creative freedom as far as displays and organization of merchandise, and all employees are encouraged to contribute. A well-respected brand that I was proud to work for and a good springboard into any job involving people skills or sales.

Cons

Though there was nothing but respect from management and even those officials at the corporate level, pay is minimum wage for a sales associate. Because the company is doing so well and works hard to provide exceptional customer service, I found it surprising that pay did not reflect these efforts. Because the stores are small boutiques there is also not opportunity to work much more than 15-20 hours per week, and the manager and assistant manager are the only employees who get a full 40 hours. Promotion from within does happen, but this is mostly for those who are already management. Raises are only an option after a full year of work. In the end this was a good college and seasonal part time job. Fantastic, even. But the pay does not justify the superior efforts made by all staff.

Pros

Hours of the boutique were great. It still gave me time to have a personal life. The discount was really good as well. Bonus compensation was a plus

Cons

Although there was a good bonus structure...base pay was a little low. Time off request was a little difficult because of weekend obligations for "store needs"

Pros

Employee discount So-so benefits Cute stuff sometimes Commute to location is good Immediate manager is .......... Some of the employees are cool

Cons

Lousy pay Low raises Corporate employees are rude . Buyers suck! The quality of what they use to sell was way better. I really feel sorry for the store managers because they have it the worse. Being in Houston prevents them from moving into a corporate position. Allowed 10 days pto and you can use then when you want. Since going public stock options force you to stay committed. Atmosphere of corporate office is very catty and messy. Full of snobbish people. So worried about opening a million stores a year instead of giving better raises.
