Pros

Great to bring up at parties, pay was probably the best out of any job I'd previously worked in thanks to commission from onboard sales, flight bonuses etc. Would be beneficial if you wanted to gain experience before trying to get into the long haul airlines.

Cons

Cabin crew could be really cliquish though certain individuals would bend over backwards to help new starters and be pleasant. If you don't drive or live at the airport it can be a nightmare getting to work for those early flights! Don't get to travel anywhere either, which is the first thing people ask! Can absolutely drain you of all energy.

Pros

It's great to see that the company articulates its strategy to staff well and mostly the values are lived on a day to day basis.

Cons

unfortunately the HR team is completely disorganised and populated by people who have worked their way up from retail shop floor so not many are university educated or even have the CIPD qualification. If you're looking for an HR role in a cutting edge HR team, using the latest thinking, tools and processes, this is not the place for you.

Pros

- You get £15 off tickets. - You get to meet a lot of people on the bus and you can bond with random strangers who are, like you, stranded somewhere because trains aren't running

Cons

- As a data scientist, you are actually a SQL developer. - Ways of working? Non-existent. - Data science infrastructure isn't working due to stingy cluster settings. - In winter, no heating inside. People tend to sit there in their jackets and with gloves and beanies. - When it rains outside, you may get a drop or two as well as the building isn't isolated. To be fair though: if you complain to facilities, and they will bring you a bucket to catch the water! - IT is a joke. Really. People have to 'fight' to get a wireless mouse for their laptop. And that is one of the most minor things. - I have been working at eJ for almost 2 years, and the leadership has nothing but empty promises! They will always reaffirm that things are dire and that they are working on improvements, just to sell the more minute things as wins.
