Inspirational CEO but "Old Boys Club" mentality

Great benefits & travel perks General staff morale is good in the office, people are friendly in the corridors etc. Inspirational CEO.

Cons

Working in Finance, feels very much like an "old Boys Club" in regards to the Sr Finance Leadership or lack there of. No direction within the finance department. It's amazing how such large FTSE 100 company is run on systems/ excel models that no-one really knows how to use/ that are hanging together by a thread. The company is expanding so rapidly, that at times if you are not a permanent member of staff, you wouldn't get a desk.

Pros

There are some very knowledgeable and great people within the company, training is good and consistently available. Easy to get to and accessible from London.

Cons

Open plan office which is 100% hot desks, does not provide a team building atmosphere and hinders project delivery. Very poor people management and leadership.

Pros

You don't have to get to know people as it so big, you come to work, do your job and go home. you can avoid management very easily as they are tucked away in another part of the building

Cons

management do not motivate their crews, they miss opportunities to motivate, they concentrate on the crew who are sick a lot or late for duties, the ones who are rarely sick or never late get ignored. They expect favours and volunteers when short with very little offered in return, no over time, no extra money.
